Picayune MS after Katrina

These pictures aren't even a drop in the bucket compared to all the damage our town suffered. They were also taken in a very small area. It's funny, you wander around looking at everything and the last thing you think about it taking pictures. At least that was the way it was with me. Joan Martin who took these pictures only took a few, she told me it was just too much to witness and had to stop.

There is so much devastation, so many deaths, so many lives ruined to want to remember. But six months, every year, every person that lives near our coastlines remembers and looks toward the Gulf and southern Atlantic to see what is out there.
