Over the years at Da Barn our interests have been many and varied, but always centered around our beloved animals. We first started out as breeders of purebred sporting dogs and professional all breed dog handlers (that's how we met, at a dog show!) living on a small farm in Michigan. Of course we had several farm animals, lots of poultry and waterfowl. It was at that time we started breeding purebred poultry and waterfowl for exhibition in our surrounding area. Later our collection expanded to include migratory waterfowl with all their many beautiful colors. We still maintain a small flock of Canada Geese on our mini farm in Southern Mississippi. 

In 1980 we moved our gang south as I took a job in the Aerospace industry. We were no longer actively handling or breeding dogs but subsequently developed an interest in Persian cats, their breeding and showing. During all those years we never lost interest in our poultry.
 

About ten years ago we felt the need for a website to cover our diverse interests and in order to do that it was necessary for Judy to learn how to design and build websites. Since then she has designed and built many lovely personal and commercial websites for ourselves and others. We hope you enjoy your visit to Da Barn  and will visit us often.
