Bi-Color and calico Persians are simply Persians that display the distinctive "piebald gene" that is present in all domestic species of animals and in no wild species. Calicos, "sex linked to color" always female, were accepted for championship status in 1955. Bi-colors were accepted in 1971.
Tabby with white were accepted around the early 90's.
